A selection of Kuniko Takahashi's madness and more

With a majority of the Mad Genius of Kawagoe's work translated over the span of nearly two decades by multiple translators. Over twenty of her works have been introduced from beyond the mind of Kuniko Takahashi, away from the potato factories of Kawagoe, far from the shores of Japan, and to our very computer screens. The world of Sis RPG has arrived and it's residency is permanent or as long as the Internet exists.

Over the years of its existence, a great number of people have found their way and deleved into the depths of Kawagoe's potato factories. The sweety goodness of Kuniko Takahashi has left a mark on many fortunate souls, so sweet that it inspired some of them to create their own works in the style of her world.

The glossary for the series is seperated into three different categories.

  • Works translated by VGPerson.
  • Says on the tin, works that VGPerson has translated herself over the years. Twenty-eight works to be exact.
  • Works translated by others.
  • By some miracle, other people have translated the series. But some of it have evaoprated into thin air just like the sweetness of Kawagoe's potato factories.
  • Parodies.
  • Some people have been greatly inspired by the mind of Kuniko Takahashi, incorperating her style into theirs.
The music and sounds of Kawagoe

Like most of her works, the reuse of assets is as fluid as her choice of music. Her choice and usage of music is like throwing in a classical piano track for a nonsensical plot twists, or a high tempo and enegertic track for absurd moments - to the point her incorrect usage has become a hallmark of her storytelling. The most obscure tracks on this list have been either closely or loosely associated with Kuniko Takahashi in recent years.

I've sorted them by what their general usage is in the series. Action/Intense tracks are generally used whenever there is a justified encounter or when Kuniko Takahashi's writing decides to go from insane to nonsensical. Drama/Suspense tracks are used to set the tone of the story or signal both readers and viewers that someone is about to go out qui-... in a blaze of glory.

Piano tracks are often used for ending a story or introducing a lighthearted moment in a series full of insanity. Classial tracks are used to given some sort of gravtias and/or emotional weight, typically used at either the start or the middle of the story. Other tracks either misplaced or have no defined music in the context of the series, and Sound Effects are what have been used and accumulated over the years that Kuniko Takahashi herself works with.

The other informational bits of Kawagoe

While most of my focus on the fansite for both original and remake are written from whatever information I could find or through reading. The information you see here bas been provided by ChairGTables sicne they've gone through the trouble of finding almsot everything you see on this page alone. You can say that the first half is done by me but the second half is indrectly done by them.

Any tidbits down here will most likely either be in Japanese or otherwise related to some aspect of the series. It's abit complicated but don't worry.
